The Saarinen Tulip Table Black Marquina Marble Top of IBFOR makes part of a whole range of products which are inspired to the models of Table Tulip drawn by Eerno Saarinen in the first half of the Fifties. The reproduction of IBFOR is realized with the quality of materials and finishing touch typical of the Italian design, while the elegant form is that of the original one. The tables of Saarinen have a simple and rational design, which follows a precise purpose: to eliminate the 'confusion' that according to the finnish architect the tables and the traditional chairs caused, from here the structure with an only central leg, curve and tapered, that supports the plan together with the elegant and solid base.

IBFOR produces this classical in the most disparate variations for dimension, form and material of the plan, form and colour of the painting of the base. The Saarinen Tulip Table Black Marquina Marble Top with plan in statuary white marble is a table for kitchen, lunch rooms or conference rooms, 72 cms tall and with dimensions and form of the base that depend on the plan’s ones: if the plan is circular with diameter less than 120 cms the base it will be round with diameter of 50cm, if the plan is circular with diameter from 120 to 150cms the base it will be of 70 cms. The oval plan demands only a base oval, in such case the measures are standard: 80X60 cms. What changes never are the material with which base and central leg of the table are constituted: aluminium fusion, lacquered shiny in black or white.

In this specific IBFOR model the plan, 20 mm thick with a modelled duck beak perimeter profile, consists in smoothed Black Marquina marble. The intense black coloration of the fund, crossed by less or more marked irregular veins of clear white or grey colour confers to this marble an original, modern aesthetical aspect and it makes it immediately recognizable among all the others. The Black Marquina is a versatile marble, which can be used in various typologies of projects for insides and outside as floors, staircases, columns, coverings for swimming pools and fireplaces and it can easily be combined with other clearer marbles, but it is not the only material that can constitute the plans of the IBFOR Saarinen Tulip tables: in fact there are other 5 typologies of marble (white statuary, Arabescato Vagli, of Carrara, calacatta gold and white absolute), or in alternative the white or black liquid laminate too. In this typology of table Saarinen Tulip IBFOR inserts a sub plan in MD wood to assure a best support to the plan and to guarantee stability to the structure. The surface of the marbles has a protective polishing treatment for possible stains but not covering to 100%. In case of accidental payments of wine, oil, vinegar, lemon, coffee' it is owed therefore to intervene in the shortest time possible. On application we furnish a kit for the cleaning and the maintenance of the surface.
